Hi everybody,
the next twelve months I will write Blogs for you from Costa Rica!!!
For now I would like to give you some background information: After my graduation in Germany I wanted to do a voluntary service abroad in Latin America. I participate in a program, which is sponsored by the German state and the German Red Cross, and finally ended up here in San José, Costa Rica. I have been here since the 30th of September, so far liking it a lot!
During the week I work in an organization called Junior Achievement Costa Rica (JACR). They have different projects but the most significant one is "Talleres Empresarios Juveniles". JACR sends volunteers to different schools who educate the students in Business Administration. Among other activities they manufacture their own products to sell them afterwards. The selling is a very big event the next taking place October 23rd. Further information will follow. In general this project is supposed to give the students an idea for their professional future and highten the foundation of companies to create a stable economy.
